The national flag of Comoros is composed of four stripes, each representing one of the country’s four main islands. The colors of these stripes are as follows: yellow for Mohéli, white for Mayotte (which is a French department that Comoros claims ownership of), red for Anjouan, and blue for Grande Comore. In addition to the stripes, the flag includes four stars, symbolizing each of the four islands.
